This tree comes from the Appalachian mountains. It is closely related to the Balsam fir which is native to Wisconsin.

The Fraser Fir is rapidly
becoming the most popular and sought after Christmas tree. It has a pleasant green color
with silver on the underside of the needles. This is what gives the tree the
"frosted" look that you see in the picture. It has a very pleasant scent, and
holds its needles well. The needles are short, about 1" to 1 1/2". The branches
are stiff and support decorations well. These characteristics are what makes the Fraser
