Fraser Fir
![]() |
The Fraser Fir is rapidly
becoming the most popular and sought after Christmas tree. It has a pleasant green color
with silver on the underside of the needles. This is what gives the tree the
"frosted" look that you see in the picture. It has a very pleasant scent, and
holds its needles well. The needles are short, about 1" to 1 1/2". The branches
are stiff and support decorations well. These characteristics are what makes the Fraser
Fir a premier species for use as a Christmas tree. This tree comes from the Appalachian mountains. It is closely related to the Balsam fir which is native to Wisconsin. We have a good selection of Fraser Fir for the 2009 season from 5' to 10' tall. |
